01/01/18 - VitalSource E-Textbook Access Problem - RESOLVED
As of 01/01/18, 5:00 p.m. (EST), all VitalSource e-textbook access has been restored.
A number of e-textbooks which utilize the VitalSource Bookshelf platform are currently inaccessible to a number of students. When the affected students attempt to access the e-textbook through BlueQuill, they receive the following error message:

Please contact your administrator
Status: 412 – Message_Key: Licensing information is unavailable

For each affected class, there are some students that can access the text, and some that cannot. We are currently working with VitalSource to troubleshoot the issue and understand the root cause. We will post an update when student access to VitalSource e-textbooks has been fully restored.

The Franklin University IT department's scheduled maintenance windows are listed below. Any service interruptions during these times are most likely planned and due to regular system maintenance:
  • Tuesdays - 12 AM to 6 AM EST
  • Fridays - 12 AM to 6 AM EST
  • Saturdays - 12 AM to 6 AM EST
